About Us

Twenty years ago Bill, a child of Appalachia, decided to return to his roots. His selection of Lookout Mountain and the Mentone area in particular satisfied his personal needs for a peaceful, natural habitat for his spirit to continue to mature and develop.

Soon after Bill's arrival he met and married Linda Patterson. Linda, a native of the area, is beloved by all who meet her for her accommodating, gentile, and caring nature. Bill's creative needs have been met to a degree by designing and building all the facilities featured in this web site.

His background as a marine engineer came to his aid in manifesting the Mentone Mountain Retreat to a reality.

These facilities are shared with Linda's Mentone Wedding Chapel. Which Linda has operated for 18 years. Hundreds of couples can attest to her integrity and professionalism as well as her "beauty from the inside out" personality!

We view our complex as truly a sharing event, a ministry if you will, not necessarily a commercial enterprise. Come see for yourself.
